Healing is contagious — let your kindness be the spark.
Give Yoga; Live Yoga. is Yoga in Action’s year-end giving campaign celebrating the ripple effect of healing in community—how one act of generosity can bring calm, connection, and healing to many.
We're celebrating and sharing the impact of our work to amplify hope and ignite deeper healing as we move through the colder months and into a brand new year.
Our Transform: Yoga for Recovery classes have themselves seen some transformation this year, in 2025, with an expansion of offerings, new partner organizations, and the launch of quarterly retreats with the women of Hope on Haven Hill.
Renee puts yoga on her calendar like it’s a weekly appointment. And to her, it’s even more than that. When someone like Renee steps onto their mat in one of Yoga in Action’s Transform classes, they might come seeking calm, clarity, or simply a moment of relief. But what unfolds is often far greater.
A steady breath, a quiet moment, a small sense of relief — the peace, calm, and self-awareness all begin to ripple outward into families and friendships, eventually impacting whole communities.
Yoga in Action partners with Hope on Haven Hill, Triangle Club, and Safe Harbor Recovery to bring yoga right into recovery spaces. No fancy studios, no special gear — just real people learning how to find peace in their own bodies again. Within these familiar and safe environments, our students learn tools to calm the mind, release tension, and reconnect with their bodies — practices that can help them navigate the challenges of recovery one breath at a time.
One of our longtime teachers, Annie Wagoner, shared this moment:
“One [student] told me that she places her hand on her heart every night before she falls asleep, takes a few deeper breaths, and says ‘thank you’ to her body for all that it does for her every single day.”
When you give yoga, you live yoga and open doors for others to do the same — you embody compassion, connection, and the belief that healing is a shared act — setting that example within our communities. We can do this when we work together.
