After my double mastectomy in October 2022, I was looking for a breast cancer support group. I could not find any local in-person breast cancer support groups, but I noticed the Yoga in Action "Heal" program for cancer patients/survivors/caregivers. I decided to give this group a try. It has been my support group ever since. There is no cost for the classes, though the support, conversation, and gentle movement have been invaluable to my healing and my mental health. Yoga in Action also provides classes for the community, people in recovery, and people of all abilities. (Check them out at: https://yogainaction.org/who-we-are/)
